The Flagship model of the VIBE Home Makeover is expected to provide more than 20 exterior and interior improvements, donated by our Showcase Partners, for each recipient. In future blogs, we are highlighting each of the improvements that each selected Flagship recipient may receive.
Each of the improvements is placed into categories that help to assist us in selecting the specific renovations that each recipient may receive: CORE, MAJOR, SITE-SPECIFIC, and FINISHING TOUCHES.
The VIBE Home Makeover Flagship Edition improvements and upgrades provide a designer home renovation valued at $150,000 to each recipient family in need at no cost to the homeowner. Each home transformation is completed during a 12-day community build supported by professional installers and dedicated volunteers from our project partners, including home improvement-related companies.
CORE upgrades include those 12+ that we strive to provide each recipient. Core upgrades include: Full Exterior Painting, Custom Interior Painting, Landscaping, A/C and Heating, Flooring, Kitchen Cabinets, Countertops, Updated Appliances, Bathroom Updates, New Furniture, Mattresses and Bedding, and the latest Electronics. Providing there is a need for each of the major upgrades, it is expected that each recipient will receive many of these major upgrades.
MAJOR improvements include those that we provide depending on the recipient’s home, floor plan, family lifestyle, most recent improvements, and household’s wants. MAJOR improvements include Smart Home, Security System, Closets, Window Treatments, Wood Accent Wall, Lighting (Exterior + Interior), Ceiling Fans, Water Purification, Whole House Generator, Gutters + Protection, Deck/Lanai, and Outdoor Furniture. Each recipient should receive multiple MAJOR improvements as part of the estimated 20 total upgrades that are provided.
SITE SPECIFIC enhancements include those that are more specific to only certain homes and/or conditions. These include Exterior Veneer/Siding, Pavers, Fencing, Outdoor Shed, Lawn Care Equipment, Epoxy Surfacing, Storm Shutters, Modest Electrical/Plumbing Repairs, Roofing, Garage Upgrade, Therapeutic Spa, and Special Needs/Requests for their highly specific situation or circumstance. Each recipient may receive a few of these as part of the 20, but some may not need any in this category unless there is a specific need.
FINISHING TOUCHES complete the designer makeover and include Artwork, Décor, Mirrors, Shelving, Lamps, Clocks, Vases, Plants, Rugs, Linens, and Throw Pillows; all combined with the carefully selected Homeowner’s Treasures. Each homeowner receives several of these finishing touches.
In all, it is expected that each selected recipient of the Flagship Edition VIBE Home Makeover will receive more than 20 of these improvements, transforming their home into a truly beautiful and more functional living environment. (Disclosure: Each Flagship recipient will not receive all of the noted improvements, but rather, approximately 20 listed upgrades, including finishing touches, that are conducive to their living situation.)
